With its elegant drape and thoughtful cable and rib detail, Nell's tank, worn here by Michele, can dress up or down. Alone with jeans or a skirt, it's perfect for a spring day. Worn with a suit, it becomes a sophisticated accent.
This fabulous shrug, designed by Nell, inspires that "must-have-it-now!" feeling. As luck would have it, Big Wool on size 13 needles knits up super fast. It'll be ready to show off in no time! Many of our "regulars" in the shop have whipped this up and they all look splendid -- whether they are tiny like our model June, or more rounded, like many of the rest of us.
Stay warm and cozy with Nell's super soft cabled hat and wristies. Perfect for those just getting started with cables as there are just enough of the twisted wonders to make an impression; not so many that they will drive you crazy! Model Alex seems to find them helpful for thinking things over.
Superchunky Cashmerino and Kid Silk Haze combine to wrap you in the coziest, fuzziest softness. So comfortable, you may be tempted to sleep in it and there's no reason you shouldn't! The raglan sleeve is a flattering detail of this design, as is the semi-standup collar. Wear it open or closed with a shawl pin or brooch. However you wear it, you'll look -- and feel -- scrumptious.
Nell worked her magic on this fetching sweater that can be enjoyed all year long, but especially loves coming out in the spring and summer. The lace work adds a girly touch that we just love. Our model, Lois, obviously loves it too!
Your natural sparkle is only amped up when you put on this easy to wear, fun to make tank top. Caitlin, our model, felt ready to celebrate the moment she put it on. This has been a Knitch favorite since the very beginning.
A great way to dress up a bottle of wine and protect it in transport, this project is also a fun way to practice your knitting-in-the-round skills.
Nell designed this bag for her Learn to Knit class so her students could have the satisfaction of coming out the other end with something a little more challenging than a scarf. Nothing against scarves, mind you -- we adore scarves! -- but it's very confidence building to realize that with the basic skills, you can create all sorts of fun things. This bag has been wildly popular for beginners and more seasoned knitters as well.
This happy bag pattern is intended to allow flexibility in design. You can choose to make your bag smaller or larger, place your stripe higher or lower, choose to add one row of Ozark for the loop stitch border or change the handle style . . . the choice is yours so have fun with it!
Our Piedmont Park Hoodie is the versatile result of inspiration brought on by the month of March in Atlanta. Nell has conjured a confection in tweed that can adjust to all the weather changes we expect this time of the year -- a hood if it's windy, a stand-up collar to ward off a chill, a button closure that can be thrown open to welcome warm, balmy air currents, short sleeves that make it perfect for layering. We feel certain this sweater will be equally at home in a multitude of latitudes and longitudes as it is here (Lat 33, Long 84) on a bright, sunny (or cloudy, blustery) spring day in our city's magnificent Piedmont Park.
Qiviuk, the inner down of the Canadian Arctic Muskox, would be difficult to find grazing the fields in the southeastern United States. We are the first to admit it. But because this fiber is of such exceptional quality, noticeably softer and lighter than cashmere, and 8 times warmer than wool, we think it's worth going to the ends of the earth to find it. We did that and are thrilled to offer it to you without the hassle. We are furthermore thrilled that Nell has come up with such a delightful, versatile pattern so worthy of Qiviuk. This fluff of a mobius strip can be worn as a drape, a wrap, a hood or a cowl and possibly more. We'll leave that to your ingenuity!
We love this becoming hat that Stephanie dreamed up. It can be plopped to one side or another, exposing an ear or not. It looks adorable, as you can see, with Marissa's short hair. We've seen it on ladies of longer tresses too and it's just as splendid.
This sweater will carry you breezily through three seasons of the year. Lois, our model, loves wearing it with jeans, and it looks smashing with a skirt or dress as well. The open detailing along the raglan seam adds a lacey, feminine touch.
When this sweater first went from Nell’s needles onto display in the shop, it was met with many audible sounds of delight. It's as yummy to wear as it is delicious to behold. We don't know whether it's the wildly becoming neckline or the garter stitch sleeve detailing that makes this sweater irresistible. All we know is it’s fabulous!

Noro's superb color changes show themselves off to thrilling effect in this, Nell's felted bag of tricks!
Wrap this cozy sweater tightly or loosely. Secure it with a shawl pin (the one Caitlin is wearing in the photo is from Moving Mud), a favorite brooch or a cinched-in belt and snuggle up with that collar when the cold winds blow!
